Page 6 is a splash page revealing a giant robot. The first thing I did was put some perspective rulers in so I could ink the background buildings. This first image shows the rulers’ placement. The horizontal line is the horizon line and the other two sets the vanishing points. As you can see the points are far off the page…that’s why I have the image so zoomed out.

Now we’re on page 5 of the Tales of the Dark Tunnel Exclusive comic. We start with the pencils where a tank is transforming into a giant robot (because they do that). I liked this in-between look. So I used the “polygon selection” tool and selected all the black areas and filled it black. I used a tone to add shape and shading and simple line work. Overall, it turned out nice; it has a feeling of movement which is what I wanted to convey.

Flame Girl blasting the Octopus with everything she has! Her hands and flames were inked on a separate layer so I can change its color during the flatting stage.
You can see that Giuseppe (penciler) drew the lines in her hands going down to the center of her palms. I placed a”radial line” ruler off to the right so every feathered line would point in that direction. Ya know… a blast. Also, keeping in mind the single light source. Which Giuseppe did a great job in the pencils.
