Weird stuff that doesn’t come in any particular order. Could be influence from a bar of music, a film, TV show, an instant in life, the weather….mostly from non-fiction books that I read. An idea can come from that where I put a slant or quirky twist on a real-life event, and bang….it becomes fiction.

What inspires you to create and keeps you going?

For many years, it was the dream of being a well-known comic artist, paid a good page rate and making my living sitting at home, drawing. Eventually, after years of trying to get into corporate comics and only having some low-selling jobs with indies, I began working solely on my own works. Things that I have control and copyright over.

Bill Nichols’ Prescription:
Comics 10ccs of Ron Fortier

What inspires you to create and keeps you going?

Just a natural love of telling stories. When I was ten years old, I’d make up stories for all my neighborhood pals while we sat in our backyards on long summer nights. They were mostly horror or ghost tales. My imagination just wouldn’t shut off. Once I got into actual writing, I realized it was what I was meant to do with my life. Tell stories.
